- Sagem Fast 3464 - enable VLAN20 via the modem interface
This manual will explain you how to enable interface VLAN20 using the modem interface.
Step 1 - Enable the network interface
First of all launch your web browser.
Enter http://192.168.1.1 as the website address. By default there is no password needed to access the interface.
- Please go to Advanced Settings / Network Interfaces to check if the Wan eth1.20 VoIP interface is enabled. This interface is necessary for the firmware update.
- If its status is Connected please proceed to the next step.
- If the status is Disabled, then click the Action button.
- Now click Enable.

You have enabled the Wan eth1.20 VoIP interface.
You can check if the change was saved on the page Advanced Settings / Network Interfaces.

Now you can proceed to the following step.
Step 2 - eth1.20 settings
Once the Wan eth1.20 VoIP interface is enabled, it's better to check if it's properly configured.
- On the page Advanced Settings / Network Interfaces click the Action button.
- Then click Settings.
- Network: it has to be WAN
- Internet protocol: it has to be Obtain an IP address automatically
- Then click the Apply button to save the changes.
Step 3 - Reboot
Once you have enabled VLAN20 and checked its settings, you can reboot the modem.
Two ways to do that:
1. Go to Advanced Settings / Maintenance and click the Reboot button.
2. Push the power button on the back side of the device to turn it off.
After 10 seconds do the same to turn it back on.
If the LEDs start blinking, the firmware update is launched. You should wait until all the LEDs are constantly ON (it may take about a half an hour).
It's really important not to power off or reboot the modem until the firmware upgrade is done. Otherwise your risk breaking your device.
- Please note that if the current firmware is several versions older than the most recent one, all the updates to the newer version will be done at once so it might take more time to complete the update(s).
- If the vectoring-friendly firmware is already available at the time you reboot the modem, it will be updated at once. Otherwise, once it's released, it will be automatically installed after another reboot.
