What is WAP

As of 2014, edpnet no longer supports WAP on its network. Please look at GPRS, UMTS or LTE for faster alternatives.

The WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol. It is a way to use your mobile to surf the Internet. You can look up WAP pages and play a game, or look up the half-time score for a sports event.

While ‘wapping’ you pay for each minute that you are connected to the Internet. Wapping is slower than GPRS. When using GPRS you only pay for the amount of data you send or receive, depending on how long you surf.
